Don’t Cheat On A School Essay
People are always worrying about school essay writing services online. You see an article about it at least once a week in many papers. Apparently, teenagers are downloading school essays more than ever before and trying to pass them off as their own, or so we are to believe. Online essay editing services, free papers and even customize essay writing is supposed to be a booming business. Nonetheless, too little attention is paid to the legitimate uses of these essay databases.
I have been teaching high school English for about a decade now, so I have seen pretty much everything there is to see in the field. I admit that I have seen teenagers download school essays, but I have also had students who use them for legitimate purposes. The thing is, in modern education we don’t really teach essay writing correctly. Teenagers are expected to write a school essay when they have only read a few essays in their lives. They don’t know how to do it. Some of them are good at handing the teacher what he or she wants, but few of them really understand the technique of writing a school essay.
This is where online essays can be really useful. Whether you are writing a school entrance essay or a simple essay in high school, looking at other examples of the form can really help you out. As a matter of fact, I encourage my children students to download essays online. I know when they are pirating other people’s work. Each of them have a unique writing style and none of them can fool me with counterfeit work that is not their own. Although they can’t steal other people’s words, they can steal their ideas. Taking ideas isn’t forbidden. As long as they don’t plagiarize, I am happy with it.
I really don’t think most kids want to cheat. If you give them the right opportunities to write their school essay, they will take them. The reason kids cheat is because they don’t know what they are doing. A lot of people think it is a failure in ethics, but I think it is a failure in teaching. When teachers are finally doing their jobs correctly, students will not download school essays anymore. That is the best way to get the educational system to change for the better. Students have to take responsibility for the choices they make, but so do teachers.
